UK Ministry could retain biometric data from inhabitants

Secretary of State Ministry Theresa May has communicated that a referendum will be carried out on the citizens of the United Kingdom in order to approve a law by which authorities will be allowed to use their biometric data to preserve national security.

Were this to be applied, the new legal framework would establish a point of balance between privacy and individual liberties, giving the authorities the means to fight crime in the country.
