Bolivian National Health Fund works on biometric system

Bolivia’s National Health Fund (CNS) is developing a biometric system to identify policyholders and beneficiaries in the area of Observance of Rights.

The new system will simplify processes for the insured by eliminating the need to present all required documentation for medical consultations. Checking the patient’s biometric data in the health center database will be enough to authorize applications.

The system will be implemented in La Paz in June, and then extended to the whole country.
