Biometric identification reaches advertising

Advertising agencies are discovering biometric technology and the opportunities it offers, such as an improvement in messages sent to people, as it may adapt not only the content of the message but also the type of message it sends.

A test was carried out at a bus stop in London, where people watching the advertisement were scanned, changing the advertised message depending on the person’s gender.

To carry the test out, a high definition camera was used to analyse the person in front of it, capturing its information and processing it in a computer. The advert can be changed with this process to show an advert related to your gender.
